Ms. Huey graduated with honors from the University of California, Irvine with Bachelor’s Degrees in both Criminology and Educational Studies. She also participated in UCLinks, a program that brought technology into underprivileged classrooms. During her Senior Year, Ms. Huey was a judicial intern for Fullerton County Superior Court, as well as a file clerk for a boutique firm specializing in property disputes.
Ms. Huey received her Juris Doctorate from Santa Clara University School of Law. During law school, Ms. Huey was awarded a CALI Excellence for the Future Award and Best Oral Advocate for her academic performance in Advocacy. She was also selected to participate in Galloway Moot Court and, along with her partner, Ms. Gamble, was a finalist in Honors Moot Court. Also during law school, Ms. Huey was a Certified Law Clerk at a local firm specializing in exclusively family law.
Ms. Huey is passionate about working with Clients to guide them through family law issues. Through her role as Minor’s Counsel in many cases, she takes pride in knowing that she is able to bring a child’s voice into the courtroom in a safe and protected way.
Ms. Huey has handled hundreds of family law matters, representing parents, spouses, and children. Ms. Huey has taken paternity, spousal support, custody, and complex move-away issues to trial. She assists Clients in reaching favorable settlements, but when necessary, will zealously litigate an issue in the courtroom.
Ms. Huey enjoys spending time with her husband, two young children, two dogs, and a cat. Together, they like to go bike riding, swimming, and explore new parks, museums, or play spaces. Ms. Huey also enjoys Barre and Cycling classes.
Joanne is the first line of support for our Clients. She supports not only the Partners on a daily basis, but she connects with Clients and manages the logistics of their cases. Joanne is also in regular communication with the Court to handle calendaring, e-filing, and procedural issues. Joanne has worked in the field of Family Law for more than a decade, which allows her to focus on the individual aspects of each Clients’ case and ensure that our Clients feel fully supported throughout their time with our team.
Since she is from the United Kingdom, Joanne enjoys traveling to visit her family who lives there. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, and celebrating all holidays throughout the year. Joanne enjoys the field of Family Law because it is about helping families.
Ms. Gamble attended the University of California Berkeley where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Ms. Gamble began her interests in law as a judicial intern for the Own Recognizance Project at the Alameda County Superior Court. During her senior year, Ms. Gamble managed the Own Recognizance Project interacting directly with the Court and supervising interns.
Ms. Gamble received her Juris Doctorate from Santa Clara University School of Law. During her second year she was selected to participate in Honors Moot Court and excelled as a finalist with her partner Ms. Huey. Ms. Gamble also received the honor of Best Oral Advocate in her Advocacy Course. During law school, Ms. Gamble served as a Certified Law Clerk for the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office in the Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Real Estate Fraud Units.
Ms. Gamble currently assists the Court as Minor’s Counsel, representing children in custody and visitation issues. Additionally Ms. Gamble volunteers her time to the Court as an attorney for the Family Court Settlement Project.
Ms. Gamble has handled hundreds of family law cases assisting all different types of parties. Her courtroom and litigation experience provides a knowledgeable background for mediation services. Where mediation is not appropriate, Ms. Gamble takes pride in helping to support and guide clients through some of the most difficult times in their lives.
Ms. Gamble enjoys spending time with her young twins and two dogs. Ms. Gamble also enjoys staying physically active and going to the gym.
Hilary is the firm’s first point of contact. She manages the firm’s calendar and filing system and ensures we all stay on track on a daily basis. She is a graduate of San Jose State University with a B.A in Child and Adolescent Development. Hilary enjoys Family Law because it promotes agency in families and is child-focused. She has a special interest in family resource agencies within the community. Hilary loves playing, reading and exploring with her young son.
